In the bygone era, there stood a magnificent apple tree. Nestled near this tree lived a young boy, and he had a special bond with this tree. The boy would visit the tree every day, finding solace and joy in its presence. He would climb the tree’s branches, pluck its apples, and bask in its shade. This relationship between the boy and the tree was truly remarkable.
The Joyful Years
The boy’s affection for the tree only grew with time. As he matured, his daily visits continued, filled with laughter and shared moments. The boy treasured their time together, and the tree cherished the companionship of the young lad.
Winds of Change
However, as the boy grew older, he began visiting the tree less and less. The daily games and laughter became infrequent. The tree missed the boy terribly.
A Hopeful Reunion
One fateful day, the boy returned, but he seemed disheartened. The tree extended an invitation, “Come, let’s play like old times.” The boy replied, “I’ve grown up now. I no longer play around trees. I need toys and money for my needs.”
The tree, though saddened, offered a solution. “I may not have money, but I have apples. You can pick them, sell them, and make money.”
The boy’s face brightened, and he enthusiastically picked all the apples. With a heavy heart, the tree watched him leave. The boy did not return for a long time.
The Tree’s Generosity Continues
Years passed, and the boy, now a young man, came back to the tree. The tree, excited to see him, said, “Let’s play, my friend.”
The young man replied, “I have no time for play. I need to build a home for my family. Can you help me?”
The tree, regretfully, said, “I have no house to give, but you can cut my branches and use the wood to build your home.”
Gratefully, the young man cut down all the branches and left with a thankful heart.
A Final Reunion
Many more years passed, and the man returned, older and wiser. The tree was delighted to see him again and said, “Come, sit with me and find solace.”
The man spoke of his weariness. “I no longer seek material wealth. I yearn for a peaceful place to rest, away from the hustle and bustle of life.”
With a warm heart, the tree offered, “Sit on my stump and find your peace.”
