The submission didn’t make a difference, but he wasn’t very grateful either.
The owner was very angry that I increased his salary but did not even thank him properly. He reduced the salary by five thousand the next month.
The employee’s obedience remained the same and no complaint was made.

The servant said, “Oh!
After my son was born, you increased my salary by five thousand the next day. I understood that the creator who gave the child has also arranged the sustenance, so I thanked him. Then the day you reduced the salary, my mother died. I learned that she took her sustenance with her. So even then I was content with thanking Allah.”
Then he said, “Sir, these livelihood decisions are made elsewhere. We are just pawns that are created by going back and forth.”
