In a heartfelt revelation, former national cricket team player Saqlain Mushtaq has shared an intriguing anecdote showcasing former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s deep affection and devotion for his beloved mother. Saqlain Mushtaq’s account sheds light on Shoaib Akhtar’s mother’s profound influence on his life, asserting that his present stature is a testament to their unwavering bond.
While sharing the story of Shoaib Akhtar and his mother, he mentioned that they were in England during the matches when Shoaib’s mother received a phone call. On the call, she expressed her disappointment about not being able to find the specific flour she used to consume, a responsibility that Shoaib himself would usually take care of.
After hearing this, Shoaib left for Pakistan the next day, bought flour for his mother, gave it to her, and returned to England the next day. The players of England were also surprised to see this and said, Man, what kind of a man is this? We never thought of such a thing.
Saqlain Mushtaq said Shoaib Akhtar’s love for his mother was not only verbal but practical; he was an obedient child.
