MAJOR GENERAL MAQSOOD ABBASI(Pride of Pakistan) Another son of the soil, Major General Maqsood Abbasi, left this world so quietly, in pain, but with immense pride. I am talking about a man who declined to have a medical treatment abroad even when he was fighting a terminal illness and was recommended by doctors to travel for it. However, he refused. Many of you must be wondering,

why? What is the logic? My readers, the logic is purely patriotic, this son of Pakistan feared that under painkillers, relaxants and other drugs causing intoxication, he would be in a vulnerable state regarding the secrets of Pakistan, Being a top-rank army officer,

he didn’t want to risk a single word regarding his motherland. This great Major General Maqsood Abbasi even abhorred the possibility of such a thought. He embraced his death gladly and valiantly because he was at peace with his conscience when he left this world.

We, salute you, Sir, for being so resolute, so firm and so dignified in your final moments! You will be cherished forever in our hearts as you served this country till your Last Breath. May ALLAH rest his soul in peace.Proud to be a Pakistani
