Digital Rights Foundation’s Cyber Harassment Helpline is Pakistan’s first dedicated, toll-free Helpline for victims of online harassment and violence. The Helpline will provide a free, safe and confidential service. The Helpline aims to provide legal advice, digital security support, psychological counselling and a referral system to victims of online harassment. The Helpline will provide a judgment-free, private and gender-sensitive environment for all its callers.

OUR POLICIES
Digital Rights Foundation strongly advocates for the right to privacy and protection of private data. The Foundation’s Cyber Harassment Helpline commits itself to the highest standards of privacy, data protection, confidentiality and the rights of the victim. These values are shared by all personnel of the Organization and informs every decision made by the Helpline and its support staff.
Our Cyber Harassment Helpline Policy outlines the rights of the victims who approach us, and what we do with the information we receive. We are committed to being open and transparent. We will continue to update our policies regularly to adopt to the needs of the victims who approach us, and our updates will always uphold the principles of privacy and safety that we advocate for.
What data will we collect?
We will not store personally identifiable information of the victims. We will also not be sharing the victim’s information with any third parties. If compelled by law, we will vigorously challenge such requests to the best of our abilities (and due to our strict policy of storing only anonymised information, we can’t reveal what we don’t have).
For cases marked as unresolved, we will temporarily collect personal information that is shared with us through informed consent of the victim. This data will be digitally secured and will be permanently deleted once the case is resolved.
