Maanga is a science fiction comedy Tamil film directed by debutante RS Raja and produced by Sakthivel. The film has Premgi Amaren and Advaitha in the lead roles. Shiva( Premgi) is a scientist who wants to send a rocket to space. He attempts to study the ozone layer in space and finds a hole.In order to set the flaw in space,
he sets his mission to send a rocket to space As a scientist, he is never out of his crazy thoughts and attempts. His approach as a scientist and even his research works creates a problem for his family and even neighbours,
which disturbs his mental peace very much.. Despite his on-going crazy attempts that cause problems for his family, he gets a new sigh of relief when he meets his old school friend cum neighbor Jothila (Advaitha).
She gets to like Shiva’s innocence and opens her heart for a marriage. Even on the day when he ties the knot, he puts his scientific temper to test which creates problems to him and everyone abandons him.
Frustrated for being abandoned by his lover and even his family, he goes to commit suicide and lands up in a bungalow, where nearly fifty had mysterious death.
