JJournalism is all I’ve known as a profession, and I’ve dedicated the past 17 years to it. I’ve had the opportunity to experience and investigate various forms of communication.
I began my career as a newspaper reporter for O Estado de S. Paulo, one of Brazil’s most prominent news organizations. After a year of being immersed in magazines, primarily writing about culture and lifestyle, I advanced to the position of editor.
This advancement allowed me to interview some of the most inspiring people on the planet, including soccer player Lionel Messi, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker, Suits actress Meghan Markle, and many other celebrities and professionals from around the world.
The flow of foreign conversations and articles was so intense that I had to relocate. I moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and worked as an international correspondent for lifestyle websites and magazines like GQ for two years.
During this time, I also freelanced as a reporter for TV Cultura, a national Brazilian television channel, gradually learning the art of creating TV content. The coverage of the presidential Inauguration Day in Washington, DC, was the highlight of that experience for me.
My relationship with TV Cultura flourished, and I was offered a position as a video reporter in-house. In 2017, I returned to Brazil and focused solely on the TV channel. Consequently, I covered major historical events such as the arrest of Brazil’s former president, Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva, the fire at Rio’s Museu Nacional, the World Cup in Russia, the 2018 Brazilian election, and many others. Every time, I did it all by myself, sometimes with my own equipment.
On the side, I also edited special projects for the cultural platform Update or Die, including a bi-weekly appearance on Radio Globo, one of the most respected radio stations in the country.
The versatility I gained, combined with the experiences I had, led me to NeoFeed, a new platform dedicated to the coverage of business, innovation, and entrepreneurship worldwide. Since March 2019, I have been an international correspondent again. From Los Angeles, I get an up-close look at every new opportunity that has the potential to become a great article and/or video for different outlets.
