A Husband Tells the Story

A husband tells the story: “I was angry with my wife for two months over something.

Didn’t talk to her or eat at home.

Then we talked, agreed and reconciled.

The problem that I was angry about was resolved.”

But I noticed that my wife was used to sleeping alone now.

She said, ‘All my life I used to read books before going to bed, but after I married you, I didn’t want to disturb you with the light, so l left reading.’

And when you turned your back on me, I went back to my old habit and found peace in it.

She used to love the smell of my breath when she came into the room, and now l feel like she’s not used to it, although she couldn’t stand sleeping 20cm away from me.

Now she doesn’t comment on the amount of salt in my food, like saying, ‘Mind you, your blood pressure will rise.’

Because she was used to me eating out, and now it doesn’t matter what salt is in the food.

Is there more or less.

Previously she used to talk to me all the time, but now she’s quiet, busy with her study or sewing.

I thought I had gained some victory in my anger, but in reality I lost so much that I didn’t realize the importance of.

And the price that I paid, was far more than the small winnings that I gained.

I wish men could understand that a woman is in fact a man’s mirror, and everything that happens to her is in fact the result of a man’s actions, nothing but that.”
