This is the story of a small boy named Olive who lived with his mother in a small house. One day his mother went to the market to buy some grocery and other household stuff. She strictly forbade him to go out and instructed him to lock the door from inside and not to open it for anyone till she came back. But Olive, who was very naughty and mischievous, did not listen to her and went out to play.
He went to the pool near his grandmother’s house where he and his friends had lots of fun with water. After enjoying a lot, they felt hungry and thirsty so they went to the roadside café to have some fried chicken and juices. Olive had to walk back home all alone as all his friends lived near the café and they went back to their homes. After having a great time with his friends, Olive was hopping and jumping happily all along the way when suddenly he realised that someone was following him!
He got worried and looked back. He was horrified to see a big scary wolf staring him with big fierce eyes. Olive was shivering now. He remembered his mother’s words to stay at home till she arrived. He was extremely sorry for his disobedience and apologised to God and his mother in his heart. Suddenly an idea struck him and before the wolf could come any closer,
he lay down on the ground. Holding his breath, he stayed there stock-still. The wolf came near him and smelled him twice. Convinced that the child was dead, the wolf turned back and went away in search of another prey. After being punished for not obeying his mother, Olive had learnt his lesson and now without wasting any further time, he ran back towards his home.
When he reached home, his mother was still not there. Taking this as an opportunity to make up for his mistake, he quickly cleaned the house, watered the plants and finished his homework. When mother came back, Olive told her the entire story. He asked her for forgiveness and promised not to disobey her ever. His mother instantly hugged him tightly and thanked God for keeping him safe.
