The candidates qualifying for the award of a degree in a passing year/calendar year (irrespective of their semester/session of admission in the degree program) will be considered. However, the candidate of a degree who as per rules, discontinued the studies/remained ceased on the university rolls/availed extra semester/enrolled as part time student will not be included in the competition for the award of Medal.
The medals will be awarded on CGPA basis at, not less than 3.50 CGPA.
For competition of award of a medal at least 20 students should be enrolled in a class.
Students Migrated from other institutions having minimum residency of 50% or more at PMAS-AAUR will be included in the competition for the award of Medal.
The award of Medal shall be subject to good conduct and behavior of the student (Excluding those students who have been punished by the “unfair means control committee” and University Discipline Committee) during his/her stay in the university to be certified by the concerned Dean/Director.
The candidate must simultaneously fulfill all the conditions prescribed for the award of Medal. If a student fails to fulfill any of the conditions laid down in this behalf, he/she will not be eligible for the medal nor will that medal be transferred to the next student (i.e. lower achiever of CGPA) on the merit list of the passing students.
In case more candidates than one become eligible for the award of medal, i.e. the CGPA of one or more candidates is same, and they fulfill all the conditions too, the medal shall be awarded to only one candidate, who got highest percentage, if the percentages are same as well then, the number of “A” grades during the degree program will be counted, and candidate having more number of “A” grades will be awarded the Medal. If the number of “A” grades of such candidates are also equal, then the number of “B” grades will be compared, and candidate having more B grades will be awarded the Medal. In case number of “A” and “B” grades are same, their date of birth will be considered, and the person who is elder by age will get the Medal. In case Date of Births are same as well, the Medal will be awarded to both students.
